We went to a restaurant in New York City. It was just an old dining car hauled onto the pavement, but it had style, and the food exceeded our expectations – 5 star comfort food in a diner – we were blown away, and this is what we wanted to do – serve ordinary, honest food but use top quality ingredients, making everything from scratch with care, and we wanted our food to have a creative edge
This was the start of our journey across America in search of the best eateries – for those who have a real passion for food. And the American diner has moved on
In August 2012 we found the virtually derelict premises on Brighton seafront, with its high ceilings, huge windows, open aspect, and stunning views of the sea and the old West Pier. We started gutting and rebuilding it, and opened The New Club in March 2013, with the hope of exceeding people’s expectations of what an American style restaurant could be
Since then, we have become well known locally and nationally for our exciting brunch and dinner menus, our coffee, hangover cures, extensive cocktail list, and innovative seasonal ‘plates’. We were given 5 stars for our Dirty Burger in Shortlist Magazine’s hunt for the best burger in the UK, and The Times, Sunday Times, and Stylist Magazine have voted us one of the best places for brunch and coffee in the country

Serving brunch and dinner, we use premium quality seasonal local produce wherever possible, and virtually everything is made on site and from scratch. We sell direct trade organic coffee from Union, and recycle as much as we possibly can, including all plastics.
But above all, our aim is to serve high quality, inventive food and drink in a relaxing environment, to provide excellent hospitality, and a great experience to our customers.
Welcome to The New Club
